A Federal High Court in Abuja has issued a gag order, barring all parties involved in the legal suit filed by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and three others from making public statements or engaging with the press about the ongoing case.

The ruling was delivered by Justice Binta Nyako on Friday following a complaint from Akpabio’s lawyer, Kehinde Ogunwumiju (SAN), who accused the plaintiff of granting media interviews on various television platforms concerning the case.

In her ruling, Justice Nyako emphasized that both the parties and their legal representatives must avoid discussing the matter in the media.

She also prohibited the live streaming of court proceedings on social media or any other digital platforms.
