Khalid Adamu, an official of the First Aid Group within the Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has reportedly been murdered by suspected assassins who forcefully entered his home in Zamani village, near the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Adamu, who served as the financial secretary for the aid group in the Lugbe community, was killed during the early hours of Thursday, according to his elder sister, Rabiatu Danjuma.

Danjuma shared that a gang of about 20 individuals stormed the house, with five of them entering the residence.

While one of Adamu’s younger sisters was in the sitting room, the others proceeded to his bedroom, where they confronted him and his wife.

“They attacked him, engaging in a struggle before inflicting fatal injuries to his head and other parts of his body,” Danjuma said.

She also disclosed that one of the assailants, who stood guard over her younger sister, allegedly told her that they had been hired to carry out the murder.

Adamu, a cargo clearance agent at the Abuja airport, was childless but known for adopting and caring for children from his extended family.

Imam Yunusa Musa Almadani, the chairman of the Tafseer committee of JIBWIS in Abuja, confirmed that Adamu was buried around noon on Thursday.

Attempts to contact the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, for comment on the incident were unsuccessful at the time of publication.
