Frontline governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Sir Paul Chukwuma, has officially resigned from the party.

Addressing his supporters at his home in Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area, Chukwuma explained that his decision was prompted by his inability to work with some members of the state party leadership, whom he described as “unprogressive.”

“We formed APC and have been doing all to take care of it. Ward chairmen are the owners of the party, and I have handed my official resignation to the chairman of my ward,” Chukwuma stated.

He reiterated his unwavering support for President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, emphasizing that his loyalty to the president remains steadfast.

“My support and loyalty are 100 percent for the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Our agenda is to connect Anambra to the centre,” Chukwuma said.

Chukwuma also expressed a desire to focus on preparing for the future and ensuring that his region continues to support the president.

“We want to have some time to prepare and ensure that we raise the five percent we always give the president.”

“The problem has always been with the leaders in Anambra.”

“The president is interested in fixing Nigeria, and we will support him, but we will not work with some unprogressive elements in Anambra,” he added.
