Ex-Oyo Governor Dr Omololu Olunloyo dies at 89

Former Governor of Oyo State, Dr Omololu Olunloyo, has passed away at the age of 89.

A brief statement from the family confirmed his death, stating:
“Omololu Olunloyo passed on to eternal glory at 1:40 a.m. on the 6th of April 2025. We thank God for a life well spent. May the Lord Jesus rest his soul.”

Dr Olunloyo, a renowned mathematician, statesman, and elder figure in Nigerian politics, served as the governor of Oyo State during the Second Republic.
