Meet Joy Mojisola Raimi, newly crowned Miss World Nigeria

Joy Mojisola Raimi, the newly crowned Miss World Nigeria 2025, emerged victorious in the national pageant held on Saturday at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The 24-year-old, who represented Osun State, was chosen from a pool of 37 contestants nationwide.

The announcement was made by Ben Murray-Bruce, the founder of the Silverbird Group, via a post on X, where he congratulated Raimi and shared a photo of her with the caption: “Congratulations to Joy Mojisola Raimi, the 24-year-old representing Osun State, on being crowned Miss World Nigeria 2025!”

Background

Raimi hails from Boripe Local Government Area in Osun State but was born and raised in Rivers State.

Despite being raised in Rivers, she proudly celebrates both her Osun heritage and her upbringing in the Niger Delta.

Academic journey

Raimi is a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt, Raimi’s intelligence played a key role in her victory, as she excelled in various competitions throughout the pageant.

Private life

Apart from her pageant accomplishments, Raimi is a professional model and actress.

She has a passion for dancing, describes it as one of her special talents, and also enjoys traveling, reading, and listening to music.

She is the founder of ‘Love for Humanity project’, an initiative dedicated to spreading love and restoring hope in Nigerian communities.

She is also an advocate for ending period poverty, with a strong focus on issues affecting women and girls.

Pageantry successes

Raimi is no stranger to the world of pageants. In 2021, she won the Miss Port Harcourt City International title and went on to be crowned Miss Intercontinental Nigeria in 2022, which helped pave the way for her victory in the Miss World Nigeria 2025 competition.

Raimi triumphed over strong competition from contestants representing Imo, Ebonyi, Abuja, and Abia States.

As Miss World Nigeria 2025, she will represent Nigeria at the 72nd Miss World pageant in Hyderabad, India, from May 7 to 31, competing with contestants from 140 countries for the prestigious global crown.
