Tears flow as four Nigerian Gospel Singers die in Ogun Road crash

The Nigerian gospel music community has been thrown into deep mourning following the tragic death of four popular gospel singers in a fatal accident along the Ikorodu/Sagamu Road in Ogun State.

According to a statement released by the Ogun State Commander and Public Information Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Florence Okupe, the deceased have been identified as Evangelist Ayodeji Kekerejesu, Evangelist Iyanu Joseph, Monjolajesu Oluwapamilerin, and Opeyemi Adesina.

Okupe revealed that the accident occurred when the vehicle conveying the singers collided with another vehicle, resulting in a devastating crash.

The gospel artistes, who were said to be from the same family, reportedly died on the spot.

The FRSC official expressed heartfelt condolences to the grieving families and used the moment to caution drivers against excessive speeding, emphasizing the importance of safety on the roads.

The untimely demise of the young gospel stars has left fans and colleagues devastated, cutting short what many described as promising music ministries.
