Referees to wear Bodycams at 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the U.S.

Referees at this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup in the United States will wear body-mounted cameras, with live footage available to broadcasters during matches.
The 32-team tournament will be the first time bodycam footage is used in a FIFA competition, offering fans a fresh viewing experience from the referee’s point of view.
Pierluigi Collina, Chairman of the FIFA Referees Committee, stated that the initiative provides a new perspective that has never been offered before in football.
Bodycams have been used in England, with the most notable example being when Jarred Gillett wore one during Crystal Palace’s 4-0 win over Manchester United in May 2024.
That event was part of a special programme designed to showcase the work of match officials.
