APC shuts down National Secretariat killing of abducted director

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially closed its national secretariat, known as “Buhari House,” following the tragic death of its Director of Administration, Hon. AbdulRauf Adekunle Adeniji.
Adeniji was reported to have been kidnapped several weeks ago and was tragically killed last month.
According to sources, the kidnappers concealed the news of his death while still negotiating for a N50 million ransom.
The APC leadership has since issued a memo informing all staff of the decision to shut down the secretariat for a period of mourning.
The memo, titled “Secretariat Closure for the Mourning of the Director of Administration,” instructed all party members and staff to use the period for reflection and prayers for Adeniji’s family.
It read: “The National Secretary has approved the closure of the National secretariat from all party/work activities with immediate effect till Monday, 14th April 2025.”
“This decision was made after he had received the news of the sad demise of the Director of Administration Late Hon. AbdulRauf Adekunle Adeniji.”
This closure serves as a mark of respect for Adeniji’s service to the party, and the APC has urged its members to observe the mourning period with the utmost reverence.
