Rivers Hoopers qualify for BAL Playoffs after big win over FUS Rabat

Nigeria’s Rivers Hoopers have sealed their place in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) playoffs after a 79–71 victory over Kalahari Conference hosts FUS Rabat on Thursday night in Morocco.

The win not only secures a playoff spot for the Hoopers but also confirms Al Ittihad’s qualification. Al Ittihad currently sit at the top of the group with a perfect 4–0 record, while Rivers Hoopers follow closely behind at 3–1.

Thanks to their double victory over FUS Rabat in the group stage, the Nigerian champions are now guaranteed a higher standing if both teams finish with the same record at the end of the conference phase.

Madut Akec led all scorers with 17 points, while Peter Olisemeka made a strong contribution under the rim, grabbing 12 rebounds to help power the Hoopers to the crucial win.
